Who is Marques Brownlee?
Marques Keith Brownlee is an American podcast owner, YouTuber, and plays ultimate Frisbee professionally. He is also known as MKBHD and is most famous for his tech-based videos and podcast, named Waveform: The MKBHD Podcast. In November 2020, Brownlee had more than 13 million subscribers, and his total video views were more than 2.27 billion. Brownlee is also well known as a Filmmaker and uses RED digital cinema cameras.
Marques is the host of Waveform: The MKBHD Podcast, together with Andrew Manganelli, his co-host. Manganelli also handles production for Brownlee’s YouTube channel. The MKBHD podcast is sometimes called the Waveforms or WVFRM. The emphasis of this podcast is consumer electronics and related topics.
It is a tech-based podcast for the gadget heads and technophiles among us coming from the vast mind of Marques Brownlee. With more than ten years of experience in the technological industry, Brownlee and his co-host, Manganelli, give accurate and entertaining information on the most recent and best tech and advice on what devices are worth spending on.
It first broadcasted on Apple podcasts as well as Spotify on the 31st of July, 2019. Using his YouTube channel, he publicized the podcast on the 13th of August, 2019. Late 2014, Brownlee began a Smartphone Award series, in which he chooses the best Smartphone in different groups from the previous year. He started making tangible awards in 2017 and a lot of these awards were given to the companies that produced the devices.

About Marques
Brownlee started his YouTube career on the 21st of March, 2008. He began uploading tech videos about a year after, as a high school student, where he talked about tech products that he owned. His initial videos were produced through screen casting and they were tutorials for hardware and freeware.
In December 2019, the MKBHD YouTube channel gained more than ten million subscribers, making it one of the tech-based channels with the most subscribers.
Numerous review sites also carry several of MKBHD’s review videos. In 2012, Engadget featured his tour of Insync, and one of his viral videos was posted in 2013 where he did numerous scratch tests with the LG G flex to demonstrate its healing ability.
In December 2015, he did a segment with Kobe Bryant, named Talking Tech with Kobe Bryant. Here, he talked about Kobe’s tech interests and the Kobe 11 Nike shoes. He received the Shorty Awards Creator of the Decade in 2018 and was in the social media category of the Forbes 30 under 30 listings in December 2020.
