Who are the Hosts?
Shaan Puri and Sam Parr are the two hosts for the My First Million podcast and quite the perfect pair because of their entrepreneurial backgrounds.
Shaan Puri was the CEO of the now-defunct social networking platform, Bebo, from 2017 to 2019. It was later acquired by Amazon’s Twitch in 2019 and Shaan became the Senior Director of Product. He is also an angel investor to about 25 startups, spending about $2.5M.
Sam Parr founded The Hustle, a daily newsletter with short news on a variety of news on millennials, tech, and business. It has grown to reach 1.5M users earning about $10M in advertising.
The newsletter was a success because of its sharp focus on its key market, the entrepreneurs. To widen his market, he also created and ran Hustle Con. This is an annual conference in San Francisco that exhibits non-technical startup businesses. In 2021, Sam sold The Hustle to Hubspot for a reported $17M.
Together, the two hosts have the perfect chemistry, knowledge, and charisma. Besides, it is no surprise that their series has lasted this long.
What’s exciting about My First Million?
There is always something new to talk about in every episode. Currently, the podcast is hosted three days a week and most of the content is from trends. The hosts can talk about a new business or tech trend in the market, sharing techniques or interviewing business owners.
