Curving text in Procreate is tricky to learn unless you either have someone to teach you directly or of course watch/read an online tutorial. This is what we’re going to be talking about in this quick & simple tutorial, ‘How to curve text in Procreate’.

Despite only being released in 2011, Procreate has gained the same amount of praise as other industry-standard programs such as Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Krita, and more. Procreate is one of the most successful and accessible digital art programs out there, gaining popularity in late 2016, early 2017.

Quick Guide

Start by creating a shape similar to how you want to curve your text. This will act as a guide for curving your text how you want. Next, create the text you want within your shape. Make sure the shape is large enough for your text to fit within comfortably or the warping will prove to be difficult.

Once your text is placed comfortably within the shape, click the warp button located beneath the canvas and slightly to the right. This will reveal lots of blue dots around your text enabling you to warp the shape of your text to however you want.

Once you’ve warped your text to your desired shape. You can remove the shape you’ve warped your text to leaving just the warped text remaining.

How to Curve Text in Procreate

1. Begin with creating the shape you want to curve the text into on the layer below.

Before you start, it’s easier to create a shape you want to follow on the layer below your text, you can do this by creating a new layer and creating a circle. Make sure your shape is big enough for your text to fit into, this makes it much easier to bend the text into without any unwanted warping.
